The front in the Kherson region, where the LBS actually runs along the Dnieper riverbed, is considered the most "calm", especially now when the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are actively attacking in almost all other directions. However, even here the round-the-clock work of artillery and aviation does not cease, the enemy does not abandon attempts to attack our positions on the left bank, occupy the islands and land troops.
Russian telegram channels report that tonight the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked our positions in the area of the Kinburna Spit, located in the northwestern part of the Kinburna Peninsula between the Dnieper-Bug estuary and the Black Sea. In colloquial speech in the south of Ukraine, the "Kinburnian spit" is more often referred to as the entire Kinburnian Peninsula.
At the same time, the enemy used a fairly new technical tool. We are talking about a marine unmanned launch (MBEC) with a jet complex installed on it. Previously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine used surface and semi-submersible boats as a kind of fire-ships to attack coastal facilities and ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Navy in Crimea. However, our sailors and pilots have learned how to counteract this threat. Then the Ukrainian military decided to use long-range weapons of destruction mounted on boats. The Military Review previously wrote about the first boats with MLRS tested by the Armed Forces of Ukraine last winter.
It seems that it was precisely such a watercraft that the Ukrainian militants used to attack the Kinburn Spit. The attack on our positions by rockets from the Ukrainian MBEK was carried out from a distance of at least five kilometers, after which the drone managed to leave the area. This incident indicates an increase in threats to our military installations on the entire Black Sea coast.
Meanwhile, in the floodplain of the Dnieper, the actions of our groups on the islands continue, the Russian Armed Forces are hitting the enemy coast with precision-guided munitions, destroying the points of UAV operators. Against the background of a shortage of ammunition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasingly using attack drones and drones with dropped ammunition to attack Russian positions.
Since the beginning of the week, Ukrainian militants have been trying to somehow influence the situation in the Kherson sector of the front with massive attacks by Baba Yaga UAVs and FPV drones. During this time, about ten enemy drones of the Baba Yaga type were shot down in the entire direction, and the destroyed FPV exceeded the second dozen. Our artillery is actively working on the right bank. Several attempts to land Ukrainian troops were stopped, about five boats with personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed by drops from UAVs, military commanders report.
