TSAMTO, May 3. On May 3, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin held a meeting with Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec Group of Companies.
During the meeting, the results of the corporation's work in 2023, as well as current activities, including the implementation of the state defense order, the implementation of projects in the field of energy and healthcare, were discussed.

Sergey Chemezov: Dear Mikhail Vladimirovich!
The corporation was created to solve the strategic tasks of the state. And now, in the conditions of military operations and sanctions, when Russia is fighting for its future, the importance of our work and our enterprises is increasing many times. We feel a great responsibility and are doing everything to ensure that our country emerges victorious from this struggle.
Today we are one of the largest employers. By the end of 2023, the number of employees of the entire corporation amounted to about 660 thousand people. Last year, we hired almost 70 thousand specialists. The company's revenue in 2023 amounted to almost 2.9 trillion rubles. This is a third more than a year earlier.
Of course, I would like to focus on our priorities – providing our army with the necessary weapons, creating new modern weapons, which are very necessary for our soldiers at the front today.
Since the beginning of our work, we have significantly expanded our production facilities. Most of our enterprises have switched to a three-shift mode of operation.
All our holding companies take part in equipping the army with various weapons: These are the United Aircraft Corporation, Russian Helicopters, High-Precision Complexes, Uralvagonzavod, Kalashnikov, Technodinamika, United Instrument Corporation, Radioelectronic Technologies Concern and others.
Almost 80% of the weapons that are currently used in the area of the SVO were created at the enterprises of our corporation. In 2023, the main customer, the Ministry of Defense, received new production aircraft Su–57, Su–35S, Su-34, Su-30SM2, Il-76MD-90A, Yak-130, Ka-52M, Mi-28NM helicopters, T-90M "Breakthrough" tanks and artillery reconnaissance complexes "Penicillin", another military technique.
The production of new samples has been mastered, including heavy flamethrower systems – TOS-2 (it is very involved in the SVO zone today), the engineering system of remote mining "Agriculture", guided projectiles "Krasnopol", the complex of guided ammunition "Cube", aircraft guided missiles for unmanned aerial vehicles.
Compared with 2022, the volume of production and overhaul of tanks at our factories increased 3.5 times, lightly armored vehicles – 3 times, the production of shots for tanks, infantry fighting vehicles – almost 9 times, shells for barrel artillery – 6 times, rockets for MLRS – 8 times, unguided missile projectiles for heavy flamethrower systems – 3 times.
In 2023, compared with 2022, the volume of production of self-propelled artillery increased 10 times, towed artillery – 14 times, mortars – 20 times, MLRS – 2 times, the release of shots for tanks and combat vehicles – almost 9 times.
Our specialists, together with the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation, continue to work on adapting standard aviation ammunition to the planning and correction module. These are flying aerial bombs, which are in great demand today. Such long-range weapons are in great need today, and the production of aviation bombs of all calibers and types for use with these modules is increasing.
Along with military production, we continue to implement the most important civilian programs in the field of aircraft, automotive, engine building, energy, healthcare and other industries. Against the background of sanctions and the withdrawal of foreign suppliers, we are accelerating the development and production of products necessary for our country. With a significant increase in the state defense order, the volume of civilian revenue in 2023 did not decrease, but even increased in absolute numbers and today reaches almost 1 trillion rubles. Before the outbreak of hostilities, our share of civilian products was almost 45% – the president set the task to bring it to 50%, and every defense enterprise should produce civilian products. But today, due to the fact that the state defense order has significantly increased, this share in relative figures has slightly decreased and is about 35-36%.<...>
