The second marine armament transport of the 20360M Vladimir Pyalov project was withdrawn from the boathouse of the Vimpel shipyard and put on an open slipway. This is reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
According to the report, the installation of the upper tier of the superstructure will be carried out on the open slipway on the ship, after which the transport will be launched for completion. The main work has been carried out on it, all large-sized equipment has been installed, painting and insulating work has been carried out inside the vessel, ship systems are being installed, cargo holds are being equipped.
Rybinsk Shipyard Vimpel has laid down two marine armament transports of the 20360M project under a contract with the Ministry of Defense dated March 2016. Initially, it was planned that both vessels would be transferred to the fleet in 2019 and 2020, but the deadlines were shifted strongly to the right.

To date, the main armament transport "Gennady Dmitriev", laid down on May 5, 2017, is located at the completion base in Sevastopol, where it was sent in June 2022. It will become part of the Black Sea Fleet. The second armament transport "Vladimir Pyalov" was laid down on March 15, 2018 and is currently only preparing for launching. The dates of transfer to the Baltic Fleet are not called.
The naval armament transports of the 20360M project were developed by the Vimpel Design Bureau (Nizhny Novgorod) on the basis of the Dubnyak 20360 project, taking into account the requirements of the Ministry of Defense. The vessel has an ice-reinforced hull, double bottom and double sides, two cargo holds, a platform for transporting goods in containers, a crane with a lifting capacity of 20 tons and a bow helicopter landing pad. There is a bow thruster.
The purpose is to receive ammunition from berths and transfer it to surface ships and submarines at their bases and on the high seas. The standard displacement is 3205 tons, the full displacement is 3627 tons. The longest is 77.8 meters, the widest is 15.8 meters, and the draft is 4 meters. The economic speed is 12 knots. The cruising range is 3,000 miles. Autonomy (in terms of provisions) - 30 days.
