A number of Ukrainian sources have published footage of objective control taken with the help of a drone, in which you can see that during the assault on the settlement of Krasnogorovka in the occupied part of the DPR, the Russian army, in addition to other military equipment, used the so-called "turtle tank".
The "turtle tank" that struck the enemy's imagination, which is an ordinary T-72 tank, sheathed in metal sheets from all sides, moved in the vanguard of the advancing forces and easily withstood the blows of Ukrainian artillery and drones. To the surprise of the Ukrainian sources who posted the footage, the "turtle tank", despite its apparent clumsiness and the inability to turn the turret due to additional armor, returned safely to its original positions after completing the combat mission, while providing cover for the rest of the armored vehicles. The enemy was surprised by the invulnerability of the tank in such a bulky defense.

Despite a number of obvious disadvantages of such a design, which include a decrease in the mobility of a combat vehicle due to an increase in weight and dimensions and the inability to rotate the tank turret, additional armor protection perfectly copes with its main function, which is to ensure the ability to freely reach positions in conditions of constant attacks from the air by FPV drones.
Such a design involuntarily evokes associations with the combat offensive order of the ancient Roman infantry, which was covered from all sides with shields and successfully advanced under a hail of arrows and spear strikes.
