In the conditions of modern war, the protection of military equipment from enemy drone strikes is of great importance. As the experience of the special military operation of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation against Ukrainian formations shows, a significant part of armored vehicles, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers, self-propelled artillery installations, are hit by kamikaze drone strikes.
Special anti-drone visors and additional armor are used to protect against drone strikes, as well as from enemy projectiles. Similar protection is now being actively installed on military equipment of Russian army units.
Military correspondents showed footage of Russian T-80UE and BMP-2 tanks with anti-drone visors and additional armor. In the published footage, we see a column of Russian armored vehicles moving through the settlement. We see special anti-drone visors on the cars. They protect the equipment from enemy drone strikes.

Anti-drone visors first appeared on Russian military equipment in 2021. At first, some experts were very critical of their use, but the experience of the special operation put everything in its place. The presence of anti-drone visors has shown its effectiveness in terms of protecting equipment from enemy drone strikes. The servicemen themselves tried to make such visors for their tanks and combat vehicles in artisanal ways. Then this idea was supported by the command.

As a result, anti-drone visors on armored vehicles began to be installed on an industrial scale. An effective measure to protect tanks from drone strikes can also be the installation of anti-aircraft systems that would destroy enemy drones on approach to equipment.
