Russian specialists carefully studied the principle of operation of the captured device, after which they managed not only to restore, but also to carry out some modernization of the drone. Data from the captured UAV's memory card allowed access to important information that is valuable for special units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The general name "Baba Yaga", as a rule, refers to the type of agricultural drones converted by the APU for military tasks, with high payload, good navigation and the ability to move autonomously without communication with the operator at predetermined coordinates.
Since the drones of the Baba Yaga family make very loud noises, and when fully loaded are not able to rise above 30 meters and move at a speed of more than 40 km / h, the device is easy to detect and neutralize. However, due to its payload capacity, the Baba Yaga is capable of posing a significant threat to infantry and lightly armored military equipment.
