Recently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Ground robots are increasingly being used, which perform various operations at the front. The German press writes about this, listing the various types of robots used by Ukrainian formations.
So, the APU uses unmanned mine sweeps. They perform a very important task – they pierce minefields or pull a special hose that triggers mine fuses.
In addition, Ukrainian formations use small ground robots on tracks, which are loaded with Soviet-made TM-62 mines and launched towards the positions of the Russian army.

On the Artemivsk sector of the front, Ukrainian formations checked the ground drone "Battleship". It is a wheeled platform with an American-made M2 machine gun mounted on it, and such a drone is controlled using a remote control system.

Finally, the APU is actively using ground-based kamikaze drones. So, one of these robots was able to drive four kilometers deep into the positions of the Russian army on the Avdiivka sector of the front and exploded under a railway bridge.
German analysts believe that ground-based drones will still show themselves more actively in the conflict, since unmanned aerial vehicles currently account for the bulk of the losses of both sides of the conflict, both in personnel and in weapons with military equipment. Ground robots can repeat the triumph of their aerial counterparts in unmanned control.
