Ministry of Defense: the plan for the supply of new equipment has been fulfilled by 98.8%
Since the beginning of the special military operation, the state has been taking unprecedented measures to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on January 26 by Deputy Head of the Russian Defense Ministry Alexei Krivoruchko during a speech at the Single Day of Acceptance of Military Products.
"Since the beginning of the special military operation, by decision of the Supreme Commander—in-Chief [Russian President Vladimir Putin], unprecedented measures have been taken and consistently implemented to meet the needs of the army and navy in modern weapons and military equipment," he said.
The official said that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will receive from enterprises of the military-industrial complex (MIC) more than 36 thousand basic samples of military equipment, 16.5 million weapons of destruction, more than 1 million units of wearable weapons. The budget for the provision of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been allocated, contracting has been carried out, Krivoruchko noted.
In 2023, the Russian Aerospace Forces received 150 helicopters, more than 100 aircraft of various types, 3.5 thousand unmanned aerial vehicles, eight space vehicles, including launch vehicles of the Soyuz and Angara families. In addition, more than 400 thousand aircraft weapons and anti-aircraft guided missiles were transferred to the VKS.
In addition, the Deputy Defense Minister said that 18 launch vehicles are planned to replenish the satellite constellation in 2024.
The Russian Navy received more than 7.7 thousand weapons of destruction, including long-range sea-based cruise missiles "Zircon", "Caliber" and "Uranus" last year.
In addition, in 2023, the ground forces of the Russian Armed Forces received six brigade and divisional sets of air defense systems. More than 4 thousand samples of armored weapons and equipment: tanks and tank support combat vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers were also placed at the disposal of the military.
"Defense enterprises continue to increase the pace and multiply the volume of production of armored weapons, including the T-90M main battle tank, which, following the results of hostilities, showed its superiority over advanced Western models," the deputy head of the Russian Defense Ministry added.
Also during the report, the deputy minister said that in 2023, the supply of priority weapons increased fivefold relative to the results of 2022.
The fulfillment by organizations of the Russian defense industry of obligations to supply new equipment to the troops last year amounted to 98.8% of the planned figures.
"The Russian Defense Ministry monitors all stages of manufacturing and timely shipment of priority military equipment samples to the zone of its operation around the clock," the deputy head of the defense department said.
