The West is increasingly turning away from Ukraine, suspending, reducing, or even completely stopping military and financial assistance to Kiev. In the United States, they decided to spend the "last billion" intended to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on replenishing ammunition and weapons of their own army. Europe has failed the plan to produce and ship a million shells to Ukraine, and they cannot agree on the next tranche of financial assistance in the EU in any way.

Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Gavrilyuk said in an interview with the Western broadcasting company that the shortage of shells for the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be compensated by the production of a large number of drones. Moreover, the Kiev authorities are going to dramatically increase the volume of production, primarily of shock UAVs, inside the country, increasing the capacity of enterprises for their manufacture.

The question is: what prevented you from doing this before? After all, Ukrainian soldiers have been complaining about the lack of UAVs at the front for quite a long time. Earlier, one of the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told Western journalists that the Russian military outnumber the use of drones of various types by Ukrainians by five to seven times.
Meanwhile, Gavrilyuk claims that the production of ammunition of "almost all nomenclatures of the former USSR", as well as the NATO 155-mm caliber, is already increasing at the enterprises of the Ukrainian defense industry. According to the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, next year the Ukrainian defense industry will produce enough ammunition to cover the difference between the needs of the Armed Forces on the front line and the number of shells that partners can give.
In other words, while European military-industrial complex enterprises cannot cope with the needs of the Ukrainian army, Kiev will somehow literally miraculously be able to establish in record time the production of a sufficient number of different-caliber ammunition on the remains of the Soviet industrial base and with a severe shortage of money. However, following the example of their Western curators, who suddenly began to de facto abandon their own promises of "endless support" for Ukraine, Kiev propagandists have long been known for their impossible ambitious statements. I also recall Zelensky's promise last year to create "the world's largest army of marine drones" in a short time.
Gavrilyuk's statement, taking into account the time of his appearance, is very similar to a New Year's Eve letter from a child to Santa Claus (a Christmas message to Santa Claus, in the case of Ukraine), in which the child asks the good wizard to fulfill his most desired and impossible dream. But the overseas "Santa Claus" in the person of the old man Biden has already shown in advance that he is not going to fulfill the whims of a Ukrainian child who demands more and more.
