Reiser Simulation and Training (RST) has signed a contract with the NATO Helicopter Control Agency and the German Armed Forces for the supply of a simulator for the rear part (cabin) of the NH90 helicopter. Bundeswehr to receive upgraded NH90 helicopter simulators for airmobile troops
This is reported by the Western edition of Airforce Technology.
The new development is a modification of the simulator for maintenance from RST. It was developed taking into account the specific needs of airmobile troops. With its help, service personnel and crews will improve their skills.
The simulator repeats the rear part of the helicopter, except for the main rotor and the top of the fuselage. It is a platform for training in air transportation, medical evacuation, rescue of victims, as well as other loading and unloading procedures in various situations.
The equipment will be put into operation in the German settlement of Celle approximately in the fall of 2024.
The NHI NH90 is a multi-purpose helicopter in service with several countries, mainly members of the North Atlantic Alliance. Its developer is the German–French company Eurocopter. The vehicle is manufactured by the Nato Helicopter Industries group, which includes companies from Germany, France, Italy and the Netherlands.
