The Israeli army continues to prepare for a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip. Recall that the operation, which is designated as an operation against Hamas, was called "Iron Swords". Such "iron swords" also include Merkava tanks, which are being taken by dozens to the border with the Palestinian enclave.
Military experts, studying videos and photos with the transfer of Israeli tanks, note an innovation: many Merkava tanks are equipped with protective fittings and so-called anti-drone visors. Initially, there was nothing like this on the IDF tanks, and the presence of such visors and protective screens on the tanks of the Russian Armed Forces often caused sarcastic comments from the Israeli side. They say, "how bad are Russian tanks that instead of modern protection systems, including active ones, you put metal visors and blinds on them?"
Now, apparently, there is no time for jokes and not for sarcastic remarks. When, already on the first day of the attack by Hamas units, the Merkava tanks were hit, including with the help of drones, they decided that the KAZ Trophy (ASPRO-A), of course, "has no analogues in the world", but it's better to add a steel visor anyway - no matter what happens again…
Recall that similar visors have been installed on their tanks for some time in the armed forces of Ukraine.
And the lessons of the Ukrainian armed conflict, as you can see, decided not to leave unlearned in other conflict spots on the world map.
