After the signing of the act of acceptance of the corvette from the industry and the solemn ceremony of raising the St. Andrew's flag on the basis of the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, the ship was included in the combat composition of the Pacific Fleet (TOF).
"Today is a significant holiday for the entire Navy and, of course, for the Pacific Fleet - we are hosting the fourth hull built at the Amur Shipyard - <...> this is the Sharp corvette. This is a significant name for the Pacific Fleet - the destroyer "Sharp" was accepted into the Pacific Fleet in 1942 and defended the Far Eastern borders of our homeland for many years, contributing to the history of the Pacific Fleet. And today, on this day, we accept the newest corvette, it really is a fusion of thought, combat power, balance of forces," Evmenov said at the ceremony.
He added that the ships of this series have already shown their combat power, and thanked the shipbuilders. "I am sure that the corvette and crew will honorably bear the proud name - "Sharp", the proud name of the Pacific, will confirm and multiply all those combat traditions that the Pacific Fleet and the Russian Navy are famous for," the admiral added.
The head of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako noted the importance of the event for the 36th division of surface ships. "I am sure that the Pacific Fleet will also carry its banner high for the protection of the eastern borders, as it carried it, being for 6 years among all the fleets of the Russian Federation," the governor said.

The head of the distribution network bureau, a member of the delivery team, Ksenia Zavgorodneva, told reporters that she received the honorary title of "bride of the ship" by taking part in the competition. Evmenov noted that the corvettes have a small displacement, but a very large firepower. "Armed with a long-range missile system, it is quite a formidable force. The corvettes of this project have already served not only in the near sea zone, but also carried out combat service in the Far Ocean zone. <...> The navy really needs them, the industry is preparing to launch about four more corvettes," the admiral told reporters.
About the corvette
"Sharp" is the fourth in a series of multipurpose patrol ships (corvettes) of project 20380, built at the Amur Shipyard specifically for the Pacific Fleet. It was laid down in Komsomolsk-on-Amur on July 1, 2016. In 2021, the ship arrived in Vladivostok to undergo a test program. The Project 20380 corvette is designed for operations in the near sea zone and for fighting enemy surface ships and submarines, as well as for artillery support of amphibious assault during amphibious operations. The project embodies the latest solutions to reduce the physical fields of the ship, it was possible to significantly reduce the radar visibility of corvettes through the use of innovative materials and the architectural layout of the hull and superstructure.
The corvette is armed with the Uran anti-ship missile system and the Redut air defense system, torpedoes and a powerful arsenal of radar and electronic equipment, an AK-190 100-millimeter artillery installation, large-caliber machine-gun and grenade launchers.
