The UBIM universal armored engineering vehicle, the best in its class, was demonstrated last month in the Patriot Park near Moscow at the Army-2023 International Military-Technical Forum.
As noted by Rossiyskaya Gazeta (the Russian Weapons project ), the T-90M tank was chosen as the chassis for it. During the design work, the rich experience gained in various hot spots was taken into account.
This development can successfully operate under enemy fire, and in the conditions of the use of weapons of mass destruction by the enemy, it can independently overcome fields with installed mines with non-contact magnetic fuses.

It is capable of laying column paths and passages in rubble, virgin snow, felling forests, uprooting stumps, filling up ditches, craters, ravines, etc.
UBIM was equipped with a powerful bulldozer blade, an arrow with a maximum load capacity of 7,500 kg and an excavator bucket, which can be replaced with a hydraulic hammer if necessary. With the help of a winch, the equipment that has failed is evacuated.
With all replaceable equipment, the weight reaches 54100 kg. The engine power is 1130 hp. The maximum speed is 60 km/h. The fuel reserve is 500 km.

The crew consists of two servicemen, there are places to accommodate three sappers. The combat module mounted on the roof, armed with a 12.7 mm 6P49 "Cord" machine gun, is equipped with a laser rangefinder, television and thermal imaging channels.
