Su-30SM fighters destroyed several boats and amphibious assault boats at the gas platforms

Before that, the crew of the Su-30SM fighter destroyed a VFU reconnaissance boat in the Black Sea near Russian gas production facilities. Thus, attempts of sabotage by Ukrainian forces in the Black Sea were thwarted. The defeat of small sea targets requires the highest skill of pilots, experts noted. Meanwhile, fighting continued in the area of Workino, Zaporozhye region, where Russian troops repelled four enemy attacks.

An aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed a high-speed military boat of the American production Willard Sea Force with an amphibious assault group east of Zmeiny Island, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on August 22.
Earlier, official information appeared that the crew of the Russian Su-30SM naval aviation destroyed a VFU reconnaissance boat in the area of gas production facilities in the Black Sea.
According to Izvestia sources familiar with the situation, on the night of August 21-22, the Ukrainian naval forces attempted sabotage in the area of Russian gas production facilities in the Black Sea. At least three amphibious boats and at least one boat that performed reconnaissance tasks participated in the raid. Russian sailors promptly discovered the saboteurs and sank the reconnaissance boat. Assault boats began to withdraw to the island of Snake. But they failed to hide from Russian intelligence means. One boat was sunk at the crossing, and the second was destroyed near the island of Snake.

To detect a small—sized target, almost invisible, to go on the attack and hit - this shows the high class of Russian naval aviation, military expert Dmitry Boltenkov told Izvestia.
— Those boats that our naval aviation sent to the bottom today are small small vessels, — he noted. — Their advantages are that they are small in length, inconspicuous and high-speed. Apparently, there were trained commandos and scouts on board these boats. And the fact that they were destroyed, from the point of view of tactics, is good. A trained fighter is better than a fighter from the street. The state spent money, time and effort on it to prepare it. And the Ukrainians will think next time that it makes no sense to run across the seas when a rocket arrives — and that's it.
Attacks repulsed
In the Zaporozhye direction, during the day, Russian troops repelled four enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Uspenovka and Workino of the Zaporozhye region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on August 22.
— As a result of effective counter-battery fighting in this direction, 11 enemy guns and four mortars were hit during the day. Including two US-made M777 artillery systems, three towed M119 howitzers made in the USA, Polish—made Krab and French-made Cezar self-propelled artillery units, as well as a British-made FH-70 cannon," said Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian military department.

During the day, the VFU lost more than 125 militants, three infantry fighting vehicles, two armored combat vehicles and nine vehicles in this direction.
In the Kupyansk direction, units of the Western Group of troops repelled five attacks by the VFU assault detachments in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Kharkiv region, Novoselovskoye and Raygorodka in the LPR.
In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of troops repelled three attacks by the VFU assault groups in the areas of the settlements of Novomikhailovka and Avdiivka in the DPR.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, units of the Center group of troops repelled two attacks by the VFU assault groups south of the settlement of Chervonaya Dibrova in the LPR.
In the South Donets direction, the Vostok group of troops defeated four enemy concentrations of manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Makarovka, Staromayorskoye and Urozhnoye.

In these areas, the VFU lost over 550 militants and 29 pieces of equipment, including three M777 artillery systems manufactured by the United States, an FH-70 gun manufactured by the United Kingdom, and a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery unit.
The technique of the West against the VFU
Soldiers of the Pacific Fleet Marine Corps (Pacific Fleet) are turning Western equipment and weapons against the armed formations of Ukraine near Novodonetsky. How this happens was shown by the military correspondent of Izvestia Kirill Olkov.

His crew has repeatedly participated in repelling the counteroffensives of the VFU on one of the hottest sections of the front — at the junction of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Zaporozhye region near Novodonetsky. Right now he is being prepared for another combat departure," the correspondent said.

A fighter of the 40th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet with the call sign Athlete said that the armored groups near Novodonetsky went out to support the infantry. There they destroyed two enemy platoons.

We are trying to remake them so that they can be beaten with their own weapons," said a soldier of the 40th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet with the call sign Thirteenth.
Strikes on warehouses
During the day in the special operation zone, Russian troops destroyed at least 730 VFU fighters and 48 pieces of equipment, including tanks, howitzers, self-propelled guns and armored vehicles.
An ammunition depot of the 103rd Theroborona Brigade was destroyed in the Kharkiv region.
