TSAMTO, July 12. The Norwegian government has decided to transfer a thousand new sets of Black Hornet UAVs to Ukraine. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the kingdom.
"Ukraine is very pleased with the previous Norwegian deliveries of Black Hornet UAVs. The drone is manufactured in Norway, and now we are supplying Ukraine with a thousand new Black Hornet kits," said Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram, whose words are quoted in the message.
It is noted that the Ukrainian authorities have requested the transfer of such equipment for use in armed conflict.
"The Black Hornet UAV, developed by the Norwegian company Teledyne FLIR, is the world market leader. It is used in a number of allied countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. The drone is used for reconnaissance and identification of targets," the Defense Ministry explained.
According to the statement of the Norwegian military department, the UAV is easy to operate, resistant to external influences, it is difficult to detect, and it is especially well suited for conducting combat operations in urban conditions, the agency notes.
