L-410
At the facilities of UZGA, it is planned to develop and in 2026 already hand over to customers the first 19-seater aircraft, which will be designed to replace the L-410 aircraft created in Czechoslovakia back in the 60s on regional airlines.
Replacing the Czech L-410, of course, requires an operational solution, since serious problems are already being observed to maintain their airworthiness due to the sanctions imposed on the country. For example, the Komi Republic has already stopped operating the L-410 due to a banal shortage of spare parts.
VK-800
Previously, it was assumed that, taking into account the planned implementation of the import substitution program, about 180 localized L-410 aircraft will be delivered in the period up to 2030, but it was not possible to fully localize this aircraft and now the program is being adjusted. Against this background, it was decided to create a completely domestic development to replace the L-410 — Russian specialists will be engaged in these works together with their colleagues from Belarus, with whom this project is widely discussed. The future novelty will be "with propellers", have a non-retractable chassis, and VK-800 engines are supposed to be used as power plants. At the same time, according to the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Oleg Bocharov, the start date of production of Russian aircraft for 19 seats has been shifted by a couple of years to carry out the necessary R&D on the airframe, and "we have everything else."
