MOSCOW, June 5 — RIA Novosti, Andrey Kotz. Poland is preparing for a big war. Warsaw massively buys weapons abroad, builds military bases, pulls troops to the eastern borders and allows itself ambiguous rhetoric. About what is happening — in the material of RIA Novosti.
Sanitary cordon
Former Deputy Minister of National Defense Waldemar Skshipchak said on the air of the Polsat TV channel that Poland is ready to support an armed coup in Belarus by force. He stressed that we are talking about a military operation. That is, in fact, about aggression.
And the reason for the invasion, according to him, will be mass protests. Like those that were in 2020.
By the way, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has repeatedly warned about such a scenario. In Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine, militants are specially trained, he claims. Warsaw is capable of moving a large group to the borders in a matter of hours. Actually, this is already happening.

Moscow and Minsk are closely monitoring the situation and taking measures. Russia has provided Belarus with modern weapons, including S-400 systems. She sent a military contingent there, uses local airfields. And covers with a nuclear "umbrella", as well as the dome of the air defense system.
Protect an ally
At the end of May, the defense ministers issued legal formalities for the storage of tactical nuclear weapons. Lukashenko said that ammunition is already being moved.
Some experts believe that this will cool the ardor of Warsaw and aggression will not take place.
"There will be no direct Polish invasion," says political analyst Vadim Trukhachev. — Belarusian citizens will become the fuel for the color revolution. It is possible that the statements about interference are connected with the upcoming elections to the Seimas — they increase the degree of patriotic rhetoric."

In turn, the Kremlin noted that Poland is a hostile state interfering in the internal affairs of another country. And they reminded that Moscow has an obligation to protect an ally in the event of a direct threat.
Large-scale rearmament
Warsaw is still afraid to openly fight with Russia. After all, the aggressor cannot count on the fifth article of the NATO Charter.
But they started the most ambitious rearmament program in the alliance. They plan to complete everything by 2035.
We have signed two contracts for 1,300 main battle tanks. A thousand are South Korean K2 "Black Panther", which are highly regarded in the world, despite the high cost. Three hundred — American M1A2 SEPv3. Both are new, from factories.

648 South Korean self-propelled howitzers K9 "Thunder" will update the barrel artillery. Reactive — American MLRS HIMARS. At the moment, only a few dozen of these installations have been paid for, but they want to buy 500 more. Whether this is realistic is a big question. Production volumes are still small, and the US army also intends to replenish its arsenals.
Warsaw is going to replace the Soviet infantry fighting vehicles given to Ukraine with its own machines — Borsuk, 1400 units have been ordered. 96 Apache attack helicopters will be purchased for army aviation, 48 South Korean FA—50 training helicopters and 35 American F-35 fighters for the Air Force.
The largest on the continent
115 billion dollars are allocated for this. For the current year — 26 billion, the largest amount in the history of the country.
Other NATO members are reluctant to allocate two percent of GDP to defense, as required by the alliance's charter, and Poland voluntarily decided to spend four. In terms of military spending per capita, Warsaw comes out on top in the Western bloc.
The size of the army will also increase. In 12 years — almost twice: from 160 to 300 thousand people. In general, if the program is implemented, Poland will receive not only the largest, but also the best armed army in Europe.
