TSAMTO, April 21. The measures of the sudden combat readiness check of the Pacific Fleet (TOF), parts of the Aerospace Forces and support units have been completed.
During the inspection, which took place under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, high indicators of combat readiness of the military command bodies, troops and forces of the Pacific Fleet to solve the tasks of repelling the aggression of a potential enemy from ocean and sea directions were confirmed.
The command and personnel of the fleet in a short time carried out the preparation of forces for combat operations, performed operational deployment and worked out a set of combat training tasks in the near and far sea zones.
Exercises and trainings were conducted with the crews of warships in the designated areas of the Japanese, Okhotsk and Bering Seas to repel massive missile and air strikes, search and destroy submarines, torpedo, artillery firing and missile launches were carried out against targets simulating ship strike groups and ground targets of a simulated enemy.
Multipurpose submarines, anti–submarine and attack ships, coastal missile systems "Bal" and "Bastion" in cooperation with the forces of long-range aviation of the Aerospace Forces and naval aviation of the fleet have worked out various ways of preventing the deployment of enemy forces in the operationally important area of the Pacific Ocean - the southern part of the Sea of Okhotsk and repelling its landing on the southern Kuril Islands and the island Sakhalin.
The units of the coastal troops and marines of the Pacific Fleet carried out a set of measures to bring them to the highest degrees of combat readiness and in practice worked out the tasks of organizing anti-amphibious defense of the coast section by conducting exercises and live firing at landfills.
Strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS and long-range bombers Tu-22M3 of the long-range aviation of the Aerospace Forces performed flights to the central Pacific Ocean with simulated strikes on the ship groups of a conditional enemy. With the crews of anti-submarine aircraft of the naval aviation of the Pacific Fleet, exercises were conducted to search for and destroy submarines.
The air defense forces of the Fleet completed the tasks of repelling an air attack by a conditional enemy with the deployment of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes and radar stations in new positional areas on combat duty for air defense.
In total, more than 25 thousand servicemen, about 90 aircraft and helicopters, about 160 ships, including more than 10 submarines, took part in the sudden inspection of the Pacific Fleet.

In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a sudden check of the combat readiness of the Pacific Fleet, part of the Aerospace Forces and support units was carried out from April 14 to 20, 2023.
