One of the priorities of the VKS development direction is equipping troops with advanced air and missile defense systems.
"This year we will complete the modernization of the missile defense system of the city of Moscow," the minister said.
By the end of the year, it is planned to hold 33 major organizational events. Among other things, it is planned to form a division and an air defense brigade, a special-purpose missile defense-missile defense brigade, an anti-aircraft missile regiment with the S-350 complex and a military transport aviation regiment. "Along with this, we will complete the construction of 621 military infrastructure facilities for the needs of the Aerospace Forces," Sergei Shoigu added.
According to the state armament program, 507 units of equipment will be delivered to the Aerospace Forces this year.

"To deter Russia and China, the United States is significantly increasing its military presence in the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening political and military ties with its allies, continuing to create a new American security architecture in this region."
The troops of the Eastern Military District play an important role in maintaining stability within the boundaries of their responsibility and actively participate in the development of military cooperation with friendly countries.
Only last year, three joint international military exercises were held - Selenga, Laros and Maritime Interaction.
The intensity of combat training of troops does not decrease. Last year, more than eight thousand operational and combat training events took place, the key of which was the strategic command and staff exercise "Vostok".
The Pacific Fleet has made 22 voyages to the Pacific, Indian and Atlantic Ocean regions both by single ships and as part of detachments.
