On March 22, it became known that three surface drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a sea bay in Sevastopol. The head of the city, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that the Black Sea Fleet repulsed the attack. He added that several buildings on Lenin Street were damaged by the explosions of destroyed drones — their windows were broken. There are no casualties.

"The peculiarity of marine drones is that they go in a semi-submerged state. They don't have wings. In terms of range, this is not one hundred kilometers. Also, such UAVs can carry a decent amount of explosives: not one kilogram," Dandykin said.

On the evening of March 21, a US RQ-4 Global Hawk reconnaissance drone was spotted in the neutral airspace of the Black Sea.
According to the Flightradar service, the drone took off from one of the air bases in Italy.
