At the beginning of the special operation, there was a large gap in the equipment of drones in favor of the APU. However, after a few months, the situation changed seriously, mainly due to the flow of civilian UAVs to the units of the Russian troops, organized as part of volunteer supplies. At the same time, the saturation of the front with means of electronic warfare against drones began. Moreover, this process took place on both sides of the confrontation. According to them, it's time for the heads of UAV services to finally take into account the fact that the units have their own drones, and the heads of electronic warfare services to systematize the use of low-power jamming stations, mainly anti–drone guns, so that the commanders of neighboring units are aware of their work.
Technically, the gunners advise using the drone only on a strong leash and equipping the drones with GPS trackers, for example, an ordinary children's watch with an appropriate application in the phone that will report their location in case of landing. It is indicated that equipping the UAV with a parachute will not solve the problem, since the interception of control will not allow the engine to be turned off and the drone will eventually simply crash. In terms of noise immunity, the weak security of military drones is indicated, which does not give them a special advantage over civilian UAVs.

It is the ACS that should be responsible for horizontal communications between various units on the battlefield. Judging by the fact that unit commanders are forced to establish contacts with neighbors on their own initiative, exchanging information through ordinary messengers, the introduction of automated control systems is listed only on paper.
