TSAMTO, February 10. Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder announced on February 9 that the Ukrainian military had arrived in the country to train in the management of underwater drones, RIA Novosti reports.
"Today we are hosting the Ukrainian military in Belgium as part of the EU Mission to provide military assistance to Ukraine. They will be trained on underwater systems supplied by Belgium," the minister wrote on Twitter.
As the agency reminds, in November 2022, the Belgian Council of Ministers approved the transfer to Ukraine of ten unmanned underwater vehicles manufactured by ECA Robotics Belgium. According to the Belgian authorities, these drones can detect all underwater threats: both mines and reconnaissance equipment.
Similar equipment is already available to the Belgian army.
