TSAMTO, January 31. The Netherlands has not received a request from Ukraine for the supply of F-16 fighters, but is ready to consider it. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was announced on January 30 by Prime Minister Mark Rutte.
"As for the F-16 fighters, we have not received such a request from Ukraine. But if this happens, we will consider it and consult with our allies," said M.Rutte at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in The Hague. The broadcast was conducted on the website of the Elysee Palace.
As the agency reminds, earlier the chairman of the Munich Security Conference, Christoph Heusgen, advocated sending fighter jets to Ukraine. He clarified that it could be about American F-16 fighters or Soviet-designed fighters from the old stocks of the GDR.
