According to the top manager of the association "Android Technology" Evgeny Dudorov, in the second half of next year, a special test site will appear on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region (Bor, Boravtosteklo base), where unmanned trucks and other similar equipment will be tested.
To create this "unmanned" platform, the specialists of Android Technology, together with their colleagues from NIIM Progress, are developing a navigation complex named "Consul", which will include both satellite and ground-based navigation tools. And in the future, an almost "seamless" communication and navigation system will be created, which will allow creating so—called "unmanned areas" or "unmanned zones" in Russia - for example, at such highways as M-2, M-11 and almost any other highways of federal significance, where unmanned trucks can move.
Apparently, a 3-ton platform with the name "Marker" with the possibility of installing various weapons, as well as an unmanned two-axle truck "Ural", which was shown to the public as part of the recent "Army-2022", will be the first to be tested in the future "unmanned" zone.
