/tass/. New approaches to the use of units of the Northern Fleet in the Arctic were discussed in Severomorsk, where the gathering of the fleet's leadership began on Tuesday. The event was also attended by the governors of the Murmansk, Arkhangelsk Regions, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (NAO) and the head of the Komi Republic, the Sevflot press service reported.
"In Severomorsk, under the general leadership of the commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Alexander Moiseev, the gathering of the leadership of the Northern Fleet began. The subject of this collection is aimed at considering issues on determining new approaches to the use of forces (troops) The Northern Fleet in the Arctic Theater of operations in modern conditions. Also, much attention will be paid to the experience of using forces (troops) in a special military operation," the message says.
It is noted that the heads of various units of the Northern Fleet, representatives of the central military administration bodies, heads of federal executive authorities were involved in the gathering. Andrey Kalinin, the chief federal inspector in the Murmansk Region, Andrey Chibis, the governor of the Arctic Region, were also invited to the gathering, Alexander Tsybulsky, the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, Vladimir Uiba, the head of the Komi Republic, and Yuri Bezdudny, the Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug, took part in the gathering via videoconference.
"A special feature of the gathering will be the holding of a command and staff war game, during which the leadership of the fleet management, as well as associations and formations, will hold several training events in a bilateral format. A number of educational, methodical and control classes are also planned for the participants of the gathering. Among them are round tables, control and demonstration classes with the use of fleet forces," the Sevflot press service noted.
The gathering of the leadership of the Northern Fleet will last until December 15.
