"For most of its history – 8 years – Rostec has been operating under sanctions. But that didn't stop us from achieving a lot. Today we produce thousands of types of products. Along with the conscientious execution of the State Budget, we are increasing civil production. Last year, for the first time, we reached a record level of 45.5% for the defense complex – this is about 900 billion rubles in monetary terms. This year there will be a slight decrease due to the growth of military production. But our goal remains unchanged – that every second ruble of revenue falls on civilian products, in accordance with the instructions of the president," commented Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation.
Along with the development of civil production, the Corporation is the largest contractor of the state defense order. The company accounts for more than 40% of the total volume of the state budget. The work is aimed at providing the army with advanced models of weapons, military and special equipment. Key types of products – airplanes, helicopters, armored vehicles, precision weapons and means of combating them, ammunition, electronic warfare, communications, intelligence and control systems, etc. In most of these segments, Corporations are recognized leaders.
"For 6 years, from 2015 to 2021, Rostec has ensured independence from foreign-made products in more than 130 types of weapons. The Corporation traditionally fulfills its obligations under the State Budget at the highest level – almost 100%. Due to the start of its production, production has been switched to an enhanced mode, shipments are ahead of schedule, defense industry enterprises work in several shifts. According to a number of contracts with the Ministry of Defense, Rostec delivered armored vehicles, ammunition, helicopters, and other products ahead of schedule," said Sergey Chemezov, General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
Rostec's landmark product projects in recent years include the medium-haul passenger aircraft of the new generation MS-21, the first domestic turbofan engine for civil aviation PD-14, the first Russian high-power turbine GTD-110M, the offshore helicopter Mi-171A3 for servicing fuel and energy facilities, the new influenza vaccine "Ultrix-Quadri", the drug for the treatment of coronavirus "Covid-globulin".
