The government reported on the production of products for the army and told about new social measures for the mobilizedMany private enterprises are ready to help provide the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with uniforms, protective equipment and other necessary products, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on November 22.
He stressed that today the situation with the release of some types of weapons and army equipment has improved. The experts interviewed by Izvestia confirmed that good dynamics has been outlined in the production of personal protective equipment, UAVs, artillery weapons and the latest MLRS — in particular, Tornado-S. On this day, the Russian army repulsed all enemy attacks and destroyed two Ukrainian Buk-M1 anti-aircraft missile systems.
Private owners will help
During a meeting of the coordinating council for ensuring the needs of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin said that the targets for providing the army have been formed, approved and accepted for execution. This instruction was given by the head of state.
— There is already a positive trend in rocket and artillery weapons and personal protective equipment, - he said.
The Prime Minister stated the need to involve private enterprises more actively in the work.
— We have only a part of the required products that are closed, they are produced at specialized enterprises. The rest may well be mastered by private companies," he said.
In his opinion, private traders are ready to help provide the army with uniforms, personal protective equipment and other products.
The Prime Minister said that the government has already defined a list of federal agencies that can conduct public procurement for the needs of their own under a simplified procedure from single suppliers.

"This will allow them to purchase ammunition and other goods faster, repair equipment quickly, and also perform tasks related to the defense and security of the state," he said.
Mikhail Mishustin also said that a number of additional social measures have been taken.
— During the period when people participate in a special military operation, the length of service for the appointment of an insurance pension will be counted in double the amount. The same calculation will be applied when assigning an early pension, for example, for those who worked in the Far North or in hazardous industries before mobilization," he said.
In addition, the government supported the initiative of State Duma deputies to help military pensioners return to the Armed Forces.
— For them, it is proposed to improve social protection measures aimed at preserving the size of the pension they receive if they take a position with a lower salary during a special military operation, — Mikhail Mishustin explained.

The Prime Minister recalled that after military service, mobilized soldiers and officers will be able to return to their enterprise or to their company.
On the same day, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev, checked the execution of the state defense order at the enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Sverdlovsk region. He inspected the production facilities and workshops, and also presented state awards to employees who distinguished themselves by increasing the output of defense products.
The economy ensures the success of the active army, military expert Alexey Leonkov recalled.
— We have a developed defense industry, but there were difficulties associated with public procurement - he said. — We have formed a set of laws that made this procedure quite difficult. It did not correspond to the realities that its dictates. For this reason, the role of the coordinating council is very important — first of all, it should simplify bureaucratic procedures, which is already being done. There can be no trifles in this case. We have to compete with the industry of the NATO countries.

According to the expert, the first successes are already there. In particular, the Russian defense industry began to supply modern products to the army more quickly.
— The production of new artillery and multiple launch rocket systems has increased, — he noted. — For example, the Tornado-S MLRS had 20 units in the army before the start of the SVO. Now there are more of them. This system is an analogue of HIMARS, but much better in many characteristics. This is a powerful MLRS, which needs to saturate the troops. Also, a large number of new drones appeared on the front — the same "Lancets".
According to the expert, the production of protective helmets and body armor has also increased.
— This is very important, given that we need to tighten the DPR and LPR connections to the level of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, — he said. — But there is still a lot of work ahead, of course. The main effect of changing approaches in the defense industry is still ahead.
