According to the American publication "19 FortyFive", the new Chinese hypersonic anti-ship missile YJ-21 poses a serious threat to American aircraft carriers. The publication tells that this missile is used to launch from an airplane or a surface ship.
It was presented at the 14th International Aviation and Space Exhibition Airshow China, held from November 8th to November 13th in Zhuhai, in the southern province of Guangdong.
The YJ-21 really takes the Chinese Navy to a whole new level, being inaccessible to the US Navy. Its speed is about ten Mach, while the maximum flight range reaches 932 nautical miles. The Chinese hypersonic cruise missile, as noted by the US press, is becoming a threat to US military bases in the Indo-Pacific region, including military bases on Guam and Okinawa, Japan.

In recent years, the States have had to accelerate the process due to the appearance of combat hypersound in both China and Russia.
