/tass/. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed an order on the transfer to the jurisdiction of the Russian Defense Ministry for 20 years of part of the waters of the Golden Horn Bay. The relevant document was published on Tuesday on the legal information portal.
"To provide the Ministry of Defense of Russia for 20 years in a separate water use part of the water area of the Golden Horn Bay of the Bosphorus Strait East of the Peter the Great Bay of the Sea of Japan <...> to ensure the defense of the country and the security of the state," the order says.
The transfer for use will be carried out subject to a number of conditions that are contained in the annex to the document. In particular, the possibility of using the water area for other purposes, including recreation, fishing, etc., is excluded. Also, the military department is obliged to maintain hydraulic engineering and other structures related to the use of the facility in good condition. The annex to the order establishes a ban on carrying out works that may lead to a change in the natural state of the water regime, and on pollution of the water area.
