In September, a year has passed since the signing of the defense agreement between Australia, the US and the UK (AUKUS). The latter is aimed at creating a nuclear submarine fleet to Australia, and is supposedly intended to promote cooperation between the two countries in other areas of defense, such as artificial intelligence and drones.
However, the participants of the new unit does not hide the fact that its activities are primarily focused on the containment of China.
