The 4th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition ADEX-2022 was held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, from September 6 to 8, 2022. A feature of the exhibition was the unusually wide presence of various unmanned aerial vehicles and barrage ammunition in its exposition. Denis Fedutinov kindly provided us with a report on the barrage ammunition presented at ADEX-2022.The Itiqovan barrage munition (formerly called Zərbə-1K) is assembled by the Azerbaijani company AZAD Systems.
The Kamikaze UAV is an Orbiter 1K device of the Israeli company Aeronautics, assembled in Azerbaijan under license. The maximum take-off weight of the device is 13 kg, including a warhead weighing up to 3 kg. The maximum duration of the flight can reach 3 hours, and the range is 100 km. The device was originally created as an analogue of the Israeli Harpy barrage ammunition to replace it in the Turkish armed forces. The first version of the UAV was equipped with a passive radar homing head. A variant with an optoelectronic guidance system was presented at ADEX-2022. The launch of the device is carried out from the launch container using a solid-fuel accelerator.
