KHARKIV REGION, Aug 26 - RIA Novosti. The Allied forces began to use reconnaissance drones more actively to adjust artillery during a special operation in Ukraine, at one of the sections of the Kharkov direction, Russian special forces soldiers showed a RIA Novosti correspondent how to work with unmanned systems.

As an example, one of the modifications of the domestic UAV ZALA, which is produced in Izhevsk at the enterprise that is part of the Kalashnikov concern, was demonstrated.

This device weighs about 10 kilograms and carries a high-resolution camera. The manufacturer's website says that the drone can reach speeds in the range from 40 to 120 kilometers per hour, carry 3 kilograms of payload and fly in controlled mode up to 45 kilometers away, and the electric battery lasts for 3 hours.

The deployment time is only a few minutes, it takes another five minutes to pump air into the pneumatic launch catapult system.

Some of the characteristics are classified, as well as the control screen interface cannot be shown, but the display has all the flight parameters.

Fighters praise the duplication of control channels, which makes it possible to work even in the zone of electronic suppression of the enemy. This gives the survivability of the device and its guaranteed return even under irradiation.

According to the UAV operators, the enemy is actively using Western electronic warfare systems, but even in such difficult conditions, special forces thanks to technology can work to identify targets, flying around problem areas.

The drone works in cooperation with the Russian Zoo counter-battery system, which identifies artillery positions. When a signal arrives in the area of the alleged activity, a "bird" flies out, which can detect even a disguised gun from the air by characteristic signs, for example, traces of rolling the barrel into position, lying boxes of ammunition can also tell the operator that an enemy can hide in a nearby green landing, which can be tracked: sooner or later ammunition or water will be brought to him late, and thus the enemy will reveal his location.

The adjustment of fire allows you to accurately and confidently strike at the enemy, while not hitting the civilian infrastructure.
