TSAMTO, August 16. On August 16, the Head of the Main Department of Innovative Development of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Major General Alexander Osadchuk, summed up the results of the first day of the work of the Army-2022 MVTF at a briefing for journalists.
"More than 75.5 thousand representatives of the military-industrial complex, scientists, developers and testers of the latest weapons, representatives of the state customer and military experts took part in the first day of the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2022". The composition of participants and guests testifies to the growing interest in the exhibition, both at the Russian and international levels," said the head of the Russian Defense Ministry's GUIR, speaking to representatives of Russian and foreign media.
A unique feature of 2022 was the simultaneous holding of several major international events at the forum venues at once: the Army International Games, the 10th Moscow Conference on International Security, the First International Anti-Fascist Congress, the Third International Fire and Rescue Congress organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
The opening ceremony of the Army-2022 forum was attended by representatives of delegations of defense departments of 80 foreign countries, including: 19 states at the level of the head of the defense department, 12 – at the level of the Chief of the General Staff, 25 – at the level of the Deputy Minister of Defense, 11 – at the level of experts, 38 – at the level of representatives of foreign embassies.
A. Osadchuk noted that official confirmations about the participation of foreign delegations in the events of the forum continue to arrive. If on the eve of the forum such confirmations were received from 72 states, then as of August 15, their number reached 87.
On the first day of the Forum, bilateral meetings of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Alexander Fomin, with representatives of the military departments of Brunei, Bangladesh and Venezuela were organized and held.
In addition, the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation held bilateral meetings with the delegations of Armenia, Belarus, Burundi, Iran and Uganda.
The head of the Russian Defense Ministry's GUIR also told reporters that 32 companies and organizations from 6 countries - Belarus, India, Iran, Thailand, Turkey and China – presented military and dual-use products at the Army-2022 forum this year.
The guests and participants of the Forum took part in a plenary session under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, viewed the exposition of the forum, took part in the opening ceremony of the Forum and the Army International Games-2022.
A dynamic display of samples of weapons and military equipment was organized for foreign delegations. In addition, the participants of the MVTF "Army-2022" attended the second race of the first division of the "Tank Biathlon".
Specialists from foreign countries showed particular interest in the expositions of the State Corporation Roscosmos, the Kalashnikov Concern, Russian Helicopters JSC, Concern Constellation JSC, Almaz-Antey Concern, the United Aircraft Corporation, Rosoboronexport JSC and national expositions of Belarus, China and Iran.
A. Osadchuk reminded that this year 340 scientific and business events are included in the scientific and business program of the Forum. At the same time, the dominant topics this year are artificial intelligence technologies and the diversification of the military-industrial complex.
"On the first day of the forum, 9 events were held, in which 1,242 people took part, including heads of the central military administration bodies of the Russian Defense Ministry, deputies of the State Duma and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, general directors of enterprises of the Russian defense industry complex, representatives of the business community and the financial sector," A. Osadchuk said.
He also said that according to the official audit of the Forum, 1,497 enterprises and organizations are participating in the static exposition, which presents more than 28 thousand samples of military and dual-use products.
According to the head of the GUIR of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the center of attraction of specialists and experts was a specialized exposition of promising weapons, military and special equipment, which presents remotely controlled combat modules and samples of armored vehicles. Among them are 57-mm combat modules "Epoch" and "Dagger", 30-mm combat modules "Boomerang-BM" and "Typhoon-airborne-BM", BMP B-19 with combat module "Epoch", BMP B -11 "Kurganets-25", BMP-3 with combat the "Dagger" module and others.
The forum participants are also particularly interested in the exposition of artificial intelligence technologies, radio-electronic and information technologies; the exposition of the best developments of the Military Technopolis "ERA", scientific companies, research and educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense, as well as promising developments of military and special equipment weapons, samples of high-tech dual-use products.
In his speech, A. Osadchuk informed journalists about the events of the forum planned for today, August 16.
Among the main events of the second day of the forum is the opening of the X Moscow Conference on International Security with the participation of heads of military departments, representatives of the expert community from different states, as well as representatives of international organizations.
The congress "Diversification of the Defense Industry" will begin its work with a plenary session under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and with the participation of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko.
For foreign and Russian specialists, a demonstration of the firing and running capabilities of weapons, military and special equipment will be held at the Alabino training ground. The format of the event involves a consistent presentation with a demonstration of the firing capabilities of the latest models of equipment of the Ground Forces and Airborne Forces.
At Kubinka airfield, the Russian Knights, Swifts and Golden Eagles aerobatics groups, long-range aviation aircraft will take part in the dynamic display program, as well as a single aerobatics of the Yak-130 aircraft will be performed.
Within the framework of the dynamic program, it is planned to demonstrate the capabilities of 38 VVST samples from the presence of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The guests of the forum will have the opportunity to visit the objects of the Patriot Park: training and training complexes of the Armed Forces, objects of the multifunctional fire center, objects of the center for military tactical games and many others, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
