China continues testing a two-seat version of the fifth-generation Chengdu J-20 fighter developed by Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group Corporation. The test record publishes Telegram channel Dambiev.
The car with the tail number 2032, which is the second prototype, was captured at the airfield. The new version of the J-20 differs from the production aircraft with a two-seat cabin. The crew of the upgraded fighter can include an armament operator.
It is believed that on the basis of a two-seat modification, a shock version of the J-20, a training vehicle and an electronic warfare (EW) aircraft can be developed.
In June, Military Watch compared the Russian Su-57 with the fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II and J-20 fighters, which received effective air-to-air weapons.
In May, the publication 19FortyFive noted that as a result of a hacker attack, China stole a number of F-35 technologies for the J-20. It is noted that the leak occurred through an Australian contractor.
