The new CEO of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, met with the leadership of the state corporation. He was appointed to the position of head of the corporation on Friday. This is reported by TASS .
"Colleagues, in your presence I want to say words of gratitude to Dmitry Olegovich Rogozin. Quite a lot has been done in four years of work as the general director of the state corporation. The very fact that there has not been a single serious accident in more than three years speaks volumes," he said. Borisov also added that "pioneer" works have been started, which could not start for many years.
It is noted that the state corporation has decided on the need to create a Russian Orbital Service Station (ROSS) and technical aspects of promising carriers. Borisov noted that the initiated projects need to be brought to a result that will become a "showcase of the corporation's achievements." According to him, Russia will continue the project of creating ROSS and advanced missiles.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin dismissed Dmitry Rogozin from the post of head of Roscosmos. Yuri Borisov, who served as Deputy Prime Minister, became the new head of the state corporation. On the same day, the former head of the state corporation thanked the employees of the rocket and space industry for their service.
In June, Dmitry Rogozin announced that ROSS would be created in a high-latitude orbit with an inclination of 96-98 degrees.
