To date, five Boreas are serving in the Russian Navy, three of them are Project 955 (Borey) of the 4th generation - strategic missile cruisers Yuri Dolgoruky, Alexander Nevsky and Vladimir Monomakh, as well as two submarine missile carriers of the modernized project Borey-A - Prince Vladimir" and "Prince Oleg".
In addition to the Generalissimo Suvorov, which is undergoing sea trials, four more submarines of the Borey-A project are at various stages of construction - Emperor Alexander III (laid down on December 18, 2015), Prince Pozharsky (laid down on December 23, 2016), Prince Potemkin and Dmitry Donskoy (laid down on the same day on August 23, 2021).
It was assumed that the Northern and Pacific Fleets would receive five submarines of the project "Borey" and "Borey-A". The missile carriers will become the basis of Russia's naval strategic nuclear forces. They carry on board up to 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles R-30 "Bulava-30" with a range of more than 9 thousand km and head units with a capacity of 150 kt.
There are currently only three multipurpose nuclear submarines of the Yasen/Yasen-M project in the Navy, this is the only Yasen Severodvinsk, the lead Yasen-M Kazan and the first serial submarine of this project Novosibirsk. The second serial submarine of the Krasnoyarsk project is being prepared for transfer. Five more submarines of this project: Arkhangelsk (laid down on March 19, 2015), Perm (laid down on July 29, 2016), Ulyanovsk (laid down on July 28, 2017), Voronezh and Vladivostok (both laid down on July 20, 2020) are at various stages of construction on Sevmash.
