TSAMTO, July 4. Slovakia can supply MiG-29 fighters at its disposal, as well as tanks to Ukraine. This, as RIA Novosti reports, was reported on July 3 by Czech TV with reference to Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger.
Speaking on Czech TV, Slovak Prime Minister E. Heger highly appreciated the Czech Republic's readiness to temporarily help his country in protecting its airspace. At the same time, he said that it is possible that Slovakia will transfer its MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, as well as, possibly, tanks," the report says.
"But I don't want to talk about it in more detail, because Ukraine also asked us not to specify this technique," Czech TV quoted E.Heger.
As RIA Novosti reminds, immediately after February 24, the Slovak Ministry of Defense refused to continue operating MiG-29 fighters. The receipt of 14 F-16 aircraft previously purchased by Slovakia from the United States, which was supposed to begin this year, was postponed for two years due to a shortage at chip manufacturing plants. In addition to the Czech Air Force, the Polish Air Force should also be involved in the project of temporary protection of the Slovak airspace.
