SpearUAV Drone
The Israeli defense company SpearUAV has developed an autonomous Ninox 103 drone launched from under water to perform reconnaissance functions.
As you know, while submerged, submarines are extremely limited (even with a periscope) in the ability to track the surface situation. To solve this problem, various options have already been offered from kites to gyrocopters and airplanes. Unfortunately, all of them turned out to be untenable, because to launch them, the submarine must pop up every time — thereby revealing itself. With the rapid development of the UAV, the idea arose to "teach" them to take off from under the water. At first, these were drones created according to the "airplane" scheme. Unlike them, the Ninox 103 is a quadrocopter drone capable of hovering and flying in all directions.

As reported in SpearUAV, in the initial position, the drone is in a special container. If necessary, it floats up and can remain on the surface for a day before departure. The flight range of the drone is 10 km, the flight time resource is 45 minutes, the payload is 1 kg. It has thermal and visual stealth, and is also equipped with intelligence, automatic target detection and artificial intelligence. Communication with the submarine and other objects and special forces units is carried out through closed encrypted channels. According to SpearUAV CEO Gadi Kuperman, the system has been successfully tested and is ready for use.
