Military bases and other military facilities of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region will be transferred to the Russian army. This was announced on May 27 by Alexey Selivanov, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zaporozhye region.
"Any military facilities of Ukraine located on the territory of the Zaporozhye region will certainly be given to the Russian army and Rosgvardiya, because Ukraine no longer needs them — Russia will be here," Selivanov said.
As the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs pointed out, much attention of the Russian troops will be directed at ensuring that the Ukrainian regime cannot harm the residents of the liberated territories.
"And for this, of course, bases and military facilities will be needed," he said.
On the eve of the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Zaporozhye region also told Izvestia that at the moment 30 people have already come to his department to enroll themselves and their relatives in the queue for obtaining Russian citizenship.
Earlier on May 27, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, said that Ukrainian bases located in the Azov part of the liberated territories of Ukraine should be occupied by Russian servicemen.
It was also reported that the region switched to the Moscow time system. Rogov noted that in the region, the clock hands will no longer be translated into winter and summer time. In addition, Russian mobile operators entered the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, which allowed residents to begin the process of switching to the +7 telephone code.
On May 26, Rogov also said that Ukraine had irrevocably lost access to the Sea of Azov, since the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions would never return to the control of the Kiev regime.
On the same day, Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from the Crimean region, warned that Russia would not leave and would not leave citizens living in the liberated territories without protection. Integration with Russia "opens up new development opportunities for the liberated territories," he noted.
