KALININGRAD, May 25. /tass/. The patrol ship of the Baltic Fleet "Yaroslav the Wise" performed artillery firing on surface targets during exercises at sea, the press service of the fleet reported on Wednesday.
"The crew of the patrol ship Yaroslav the Wise conducted exercises at the Baltic Fleet marine training ground, where they worked out the tasks of artillery preparation and protection of the ship when repelling attacks from a potential enemy," the press service said.
It is noted that in total, the crew of the guard ship performed more than 10 combat exercises with firing from artillery ship complexes as part of exercises to draw an artillery battle with a surface ship of a conditional enemy. Towed and float shields were used as targets.
Also, the personnel of the Yaroslav the Wise worked out the tasks of setting electronic interference, conducted exercises to fight for the survivability of the ship on the move, to pass narrowness and swimming in conditions of limited visibility, and also performed a number of anti-sabotage measures.
Earlier, as part of the planned combat training, the crew of the patrol ship worked out firing with a missile system and air defense systems at ships and air targets of a conditional enemy with electronic launches from the Uran strike complex, and on Tuesday successfully interacted with the crews of Ka-27 deck-based helicopters that landed on the deck of Yaroslav the Wise in the bright and dark time of the day.
