TSAMTO, May 23. The United Aircraft Corporation and the Mechanics Machine tool Holding (both part of Rostec State Corporation) have signed a strategic partnership agreement.
The document was signed by Yuri Slyusar, General Director of PJSC UAC, and Mikhail Kiiko, General Director of JSC Mechanics. The signing took place at the site of the 22nd International specialized exhibition "Metalworking-2022".
The parties agreed on a strategic partnership in the field of technical re-equipment of aviation industry enterprises, organization and conduct of R&D and implementation of joint projects in the field of engineering of machine tools for the needs of industry enterprises, design of procurement and machining industries, development of production systems and optimization of production processes, assistance in the development, modernization and experimental testing of advanced engineering technologies.
"In the current conditions, providing our production facilities with modern machines of domestic production is critically important. In the future, until 2026, the UAC's need for machine tools will be more than 300 units. Within the framework of the partnership, a large–scale modernization is also planned with the replacement of CNC systems of the existing machine park of UAC enterprises up to 100 units per year for 5 years," Yuri Slyusar, General Director of PJSC UAC, said following the signing of the agreement. – We are interested not only in the supply of modern equipment, but also in technological partnership to solve import substitution problems. We are ready to work together and act as a customer of unique technological solutions and new developments in the machine tool industry for the Mechanics Holding, which will later find application in the corporate circuit."
UAC has many years of experience in cooperation with enterprises that are now part of the Mechanics holding: Stankoprom JSC and STAN LLC, the largest Russian manufacturer of high-tech metalworking equipment as part of a large-scale technical re-equipment and modernization program.
As noted by the General Director of JSC "Mechanics" Mikhail Kiiko, "over the past three years, the holding has supplied more than 50 units of high-performance machining equipment of Russian production to UAC enterprises, which has proven itself in real operation. The signed agreement opens up new horizons of cooperation between our enterprises. In the face of sanctions pressure and seeing what difficult tasks our partners face, we need to meet the highest requirements of our customers. This can only be achieved through joint efforts. UAC plans further advanced development of machining production capacities at its main enterprises engaged primarily in civil aviation programs. The new equipment will ensure the achievement of the planned growth rates of UAC production volumes.
