The official website of the Russian Ministry of Defense has published the list of participants and military equipment that will be involved in the military parade dedicated to Victory Day on May 9 on Red Square.
The new multimedia section presents infographics with all the details of the Parade. In particular, the order of passage of parade troops on foot, their composition and numbers have been published. As well as details about the passage of the mechanized column and the flight of aviation.
The section opens with a detailed scheme for the construction of 33 pedestrian calculations, which will be presented by servicemen of all types and branches of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, cadets and pupils of military educational institutions, unarmeits, representatives of the Cossacks and other law enforcement agencies of the country. In total, 11 thousand people will pass through Red Square on Victory Day.
The composition of the mechanized column will consist of 131 units of equipment - T-72B3M tanks, T-90M "Breakthrough", T-14 "Armata", infantry fighting vehicles "Kurganets", BMP-2 "Berezhok", BMP-3, armored vehicles "Typhoon-K", "Typhoon-airborne", "Tiger-M, Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems, Iskander operational and tactical missile systems, Tornado-G multiple launch rocket systems, S-400, Buk-M3 and Tor-M2 air defense systems, Yars missile launchers, robotic complexes "Uran-9" and many other modern equipment of the Russian Army.
The best tank of the Great Patriotic War, the legendary T-34-85, will lead the mechanized column.
The aviation part of the military parade on Red Square will be represented by 77 airplanes and helicopters - according to the number of years since the end of the Great Patriotic War.
The strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS and Tu-160 "White Swan" will fly in the sky over the Russian capital, paired with the Il-78 air tanker, MiG-29, Su-35S, MiG-31 fighters, the latest fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft, long-range Tu-22M3 bombers, the Il air control center-80, as well as Ka-52, Mi-28N, Mi-24, Mi-8 helicopters and the largest transport helicopter in the world, the Mi-26.
For the first time, eight MiG-29SMT fighters will fly over Red Square in flight order in the form of the letter "Z" in support of Russian servicemen participating in a special military operation in Ukraine.
The air part of the parade will be completed traditionally by nine aircraft of the Russian Knights and Swifts aerobatic groups in the construction of the Cuban diamond and six Su-25 attack aircraft that will paint the sky in the colors of the Russian tricolor.
