The Armed Forces of Russia fired missiles from the Bal coastal complex at the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced on Wednesday, April 20, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It is noted that four missiles were fired from the complex.
"As part of the implementation of the tasks of the special operation, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a missile strike with high-precision weapons on the objects of the military infrastructure of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Calculations of the Bal coastal missile system from the Black Sea coast carried out the launch of four high—precision missiles at designated ground targets on the territory of Ukraine," the ministry said in a statement.
Earlier in the day, Russian crews of Su-34 aircraft bombed fortified structures that were used by nationalist formations. In addition, the Su-34 attacked warehouses with weapons and ammunition, including foreign-made ones.
On April 15, the Russian Armed Forces struck a military facility on the outskirts of Kiev with high-precision long-range sea-based Kalibr missiles. As a result of the strike on the Zhuliansky Machine-building plant "Vizar", workshops for the production and repair of long- and medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems, as well as anti-ship missiles, were destroyed.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. Moscow explained that the tasks of the special operation include the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, the implementation of which is necessary to ensure the security of Russia. The decision was made against the background of aggravation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
