According to the "Naberezhnye Chelny News", the "Eidos" robot from the Kazan manufacturer Eidos Robotics was successfully tested at the KAMAZ press-frame plant in Naberezhnye Chelny. A mechanical assistant - a manipulator robot A12 with welding equipment, a positioner for installing equipment and a specially written program - was brought to the enterprise last year.
The workplace of "Eidos" is located in the chassis workshop, it is an equipped turntable, on the one hand of which work is underway on electric arc welding with wire feeding in semi-automatic mode, on the other - an employee of the plant fixes the necessary workpiece. The seats were divided by a special protective screen, providing for other security measures – a special mat (the worker will not get hurt by standing on it, since the table will not turn) and photo protection (makes sure that no one crosses the perimeter of the work area, and if necessary blocks the entire system). The mechanical assistant does the monthly work rate in one to two weeks.
A month ago iot.ru I reported that by the end of the year, KAMAZ will test prototypes of self-driving cars. During the tests, cargo drones will cruise along the M-11 Neva highway.
