The AN-26 military transport plane crashed on the territory of the Voronezh region. This was reported on Thursday evening by the press service of the Western Military District (ZVO). It is noted that the transporter carried out a planned flight, transporting military equipment on board. The crew, as reported to the military, was killed.
According to preliminary information, the cause of the crash was a "failure of equipment". The press service of the ZVO clarified that the destruction on the ground was avoided. It is noted that in order to establish the exact causes and circumstances of the accident, a commission of the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia was sent to the accident site.
