Today, such an appeal to the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia was received from deputies of the regional Legislative Assembly. Highly passable equipment is necessary for rescuers first of all in the fight against fires. Fires are the scourge of the region.
"In recent years, a large number of wildfires have been recorded in the region in flood zones, large-scale vegetation burning occurs in the Primorsko-Akhtarsky district, so in 2020 27 fires were recorded on an area of 1.7 hectares, in 2021 there were eight fires on an area of 1 hectare. Gorenje-Akhtarsky district. This is a hard-to-reach area, where it is difficult to get to to eliminate the consequences," the press service of the Legislative Assembly reported.
And given that the region is close to Ukraine, it is impossible to exclude targeted arson for sabotage purposes, especially in remote areas.
"In order to protect the settlements and the unique nature of these places, we intend to do everything possible, attracting budget funds of the Krasnodar Territory and, at the same time, counting on help from the federal center," TASS quotes the words of the chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region, Yuri Burlachko.
