Motorized infantry of the Central Military District with the support of armored vehicles destroyed targets during exercises in Siberia
Motorized rifle units of the Central Military District (CVO) destroyed the superior forces of the conditional enemy during exercises in Siberia. The actions of the motorized infantry were supported by the crews of infantry fighting vehicles BMP-2 and upgraded T-72 tanks. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the district.
The report notes that during the exercises in the Kemerovo region, the enemy was hit by self-propelled artillery 2S19 "Msta-S". After that, motorized rifle units, supported by BMP-2 and upgraded T-72 tanks, launched a counteroffensive. This made it possible to suppress the resistance of the conditional enemy.
The press service clarified that the military received intelligence data using Orlan-10 drones. About 600 military personnel and more than 50 units of special equipment were involved in the maneuvers.
In January, crews of T-72B3 tanks of the Southern Military District conducted firing at the Angarsky training ground in Crimea. The crews worked out the suppression of anti-tank calculations of the conditional enemy.
In November, the T-72 tank was called a reliable support of the Russian army in the United States. The publication noted the capabilities of the Kalina fire control system, which is used in the upgraded T-72.
