Ships of the Pacific Fleet conducted live firing exercises in the Avacha Bay
The crews of the ships of the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) conducted live firing exercises in the Avacha Bay. The frigate Marshal Shaposhnikov and the corvette Gremyashchy were involved in the maneuvers. The crews worked out the detection and destruction of floating mines with multi-barreled artillery installations. This is reported by TASS with reference to the information support department of the TOPH.
"The artillery crews of the ships successfully destroyed the models of sea floating mines with the fire of 30-mm AK-630M shipboard automatic artillery installations," the information support department reported.
Also, the crew of the Ka-27PS search and rescue helicopter of the Pacific Fleet marine Aviation worked out actions to search and rescue people on the water.
The information support department of the Pacific Fleet added that about 20 ships will continue performing tasks in the far sea zone in the near future.
