Yars launchers will be relocated to the Moscow region to prepare for the Victory Parade
The machines of the Yars strategic missile system will be relocated from the Ivanovo region to the Moscow region. On February 26, the launchers of the complex will make a march to prepare for the Victory Parade. This is reported by Interfax-AVN with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Russia.
"In preparation for the military parade on Red Square on May 9, 2022, the mechanized column of the parade calculation of the launchers of the mobile ground rocket complex "Yars" will march from the point of permanent deployment in the city of Teykovo, Ivanovo region, along the federal highway M7 through the Moscow Ring Road to the settlement of Alabino near Moscow (a distance of about 400 kilometers)," the message says.
The Defense Ministry noted that the drivers of the launchers will have to overcome 60 difficult road sections and 19 bridges.
Earlier, the Yars rocket was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome as part of the exercises of the strategic deterrence forces.
In January, in the publication 19FortyFive, "Yars" was called one of the most dangerous samples of Russian weapons.
