The Drive: Russia has transferred the Terminator BMPT to the western direction
Russia has transferred tank support combat vehicles (BMPT) "Terminators" to the western direction, writes The Drive.
According to the publication, one of the BMPT transported by train was seen at a railway crossing in the city of Yelets (Lipetsk region) 290 kilometers from the Russian state border.
The publication notes that in the West there are no direct analogues of the Russian "Terminator", designed for fighting in urban conditions. According to The Drive, some of these cars, "seen on the train, received improvised winter camouflage with white panels, which were probably applied to hide the car in winter working conditions."
The publication assures that Russia currently has nine "Terminators", most of which are probably from the 90th Guards Tank Division stationed in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, and were transferred.
In December 2021, the commander of the Central Military District (CVO), Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, announced the appearance of the first full-time unit in the Russian army equipped with the Terminator BMPT.
In April 2018, The National Interest wrote that "Terminator" could become a hit on the export market of armored vehicles.
